Ingredients
- 2 pounds top sirloin steaks - sliced 1/4" thick
- 1 medium onion - sliced thinly
- 2 medium heads broccoli
- 2 teaspoons ginger root - grated
- 1/2 cup sou sauce
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar - firm packed
- 1 clove Barlic - minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil - divided
Directions
- In small bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and pepper.
- Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add beef, and stir-fry sauce, cook until almost cooked through, about 2 minutes.
- Transfer beef to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- Heat remaining oil in skillet, add onion and stir-fry sauce, cook for 5 minutes.
- Cut broccoli into florets (about 4 cups), add to skillet with soy sauce mixture, add ginger.
- Bring to boil and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Serve with, rice and serve warm.
